  1. 11. Thermal comfort and energy in residential buildings in a cold climate

    Författare :Petter Lundqvist; Mikael Risberg; Erik Elfgren; Patrik Rohdin; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Building design typically has a focus on energy use and economy. The indoor environment is often overlooked or simplified to such an extent that essential aspects are neglected. Additionally, introducing technologies for improving energy efficiency can also affect the indoor thermal climate and, in turn, the perceived indoor comfort. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Optimal Energy Scheduling of Grid-connected Microgrids with Battery Energy Storage

    Författare :Kyriaki Antoniadou-Plytaria; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy management; Battery energy storage; distribution network; optimization; energy scheduling; microgrids;

    Sammanfattning : The coupling of small-scale renewable-based energy sources, such as photovoltaic systems, with residential battery energy storages forms clusters of local energy resources and customers, which can be represented as controllable entities to the main distribution grid. The operation of these clusters is similar to that of grid-connected microgrids. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Simple Question, Complex Answer : Pathways Towards a 50% Decrease in Building Energy Use

    Författare :Philipp Weiss; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Buildings; Regional energy policy; Energy efficiency; Rebound effect; Community-Based Social Marketing; Teknisk fysik; Engineering Science; Energy and Built Environments;

    Sammanfattning : Addressing building energy use is a pressing issue for building sector decisionmakers across Europe. In Sweden, some regions have adopted a target of reducingenergy use in buildings by 50% until 2050. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Radiation properties of coil-coated steel in building envelope surfaces and the influence on building thermal performance

    Författare :Ali Joudi; Bahram Moshfegh; Mats Rönnelid; Harald Svedung; Mathias Cehlin; Runming Yao; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy and Built Environments; Energi och samhällsbyggnad;

    Sammanfattning : Recent studies have shown that the optical properties of building exterior surfaces are important in terms of energy use and thermal comfort. While the majority of the studies are related to exterior surfaces, the radiation properties of interior surfaces are less thoroughly investigated. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The building sector accounts for approximately 40% of primary energy use within the European Union, therefore reductions in the energy use intensity of this sector are critical in decreasing total energy usage. Given that the majority of energy used within the built environment is for space conditioning and domestic hot water preparation, prudence would suggest that decreasing primary energy used for these end purposes would have the biggest overall environmental impact.
