  1. 1. Achieving building energy performance : requirements and evaluation methods for residential buildings in Sweden, Norway, and Finland

    Författare :Ingrid Allard; Thomas Olofsson; Gireesh Nair; Ronny Östin; Osama Hassan; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building codes; energy performance; evaluation methods; air tightness;

    Sammanfattning : Building energy performance has always been important in the cold climate of Sweden, Norway and Finland. To meet the goal that all new buildings should be nearly zero-energy buildings by 2020, set in the EU directive 2010/31/EU [1] on the energy performance of buildings (EPBD recast), the building sector in Europe now faces a transition towards buildings with improved energy performance. 2. 2. Concrete flat slabs and footings : Design method for punching and detailing for ductility

    Författare :Carl Erik Broms; Håkan Sundquist; Mikael Hallgren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Construction engineering; bent-down bars; building codes; cyclic loading; deflection; ductility; earthquake; Byggnadsteknik; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Simple but still realistic physical models suitable for structural design of flat concrete plates and column footings with respect to punching are presented. Punching of a flat plate is assumed to occur when the concrete compression strain at the column edge due to the bending moment in the slab reaches a critical value that is considerably lower than the generally accepted ultimate compression strain 0. 3. 3. Thermal models of buildings : determination of temperatures, heating and cooling loads : theories, models and computer programs

    Författare :Kurt Källblad; Institutionen för byggvetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Building construction; Computer Programs; Windows; Infiltration; Comfort; Walls; Indoor Climate; Climate; Ventilation; Cooling Load; Heating Load; Buildings; Thermal Models; Building Physics; Energy; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The need to estimate indoor temperatures, heating or cooling load and energy requirements for buildings arises in many stages of a buildings life cycle, e.g. at the early layout stage, during the design of a building and for energy retrofitting planning. Other purposes are to meat the authorities requirements given in building codes. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Development of a European Fire Classification System for Building Products - Test Methods and Mathematical Modelling

    Författare :Björn Sundström; Avdelningen för Brandteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Building construction; Byggnadsteknik; Teknik; Technological sciences; Brandteknik; Fire Protection Engineering; Conflame; Cone Tools; FDS; CFD; Duhamel?s integral; Fire Growth Rate; FIGRA; Euroclass; SBI; Single Burning Item; Cone Calorimeter; Room Corner Test; fire modelling; Reaction to fire; flashover;

    Sammanfattning : The fire technical properties of products are determining factors for the initiation and growth of fires. Measurement of fire technical properties and the understanding of how they relate to real hazards are therefore important for fire safety. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Design for Serviceability - A probabilistic approach

    Författare :Daniel Honfi; Avdelningen för Konstruktionsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; design codes; long-term deflections; structural reliability; serviceability;

    Sammanfattning : In many design situations the acceptable performance of structures is defined by serviceability requirements. To estimate the probability of serviceability failure three main design aspects should be considered: (1) the relevant exposures, (2) the structural response and (3) the performance criteria. LÄS MER
