  1. 6. More than Meets the Eye : Transmedial entertainment as a site of pleasure, resistance and exploitation

    Författare :Karin Fast; André Jansson; Michael Karlsson; Jonathan Gray; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Transmedial; entertainment; world; brand; media convergence; producer; consumer; fandom; power; Media and Communication Studies; Medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Today’s converging entertainment industry creates ‘transmedial’ brand worlds in which consumers are expected to become immersed. Integrated marketing campaigns connected to these worlds encourage various kinds of consumer productivity and invite consumers to partake in brand-building processes. LÄS MER

  2. 7. The Three Pillars of Sustainability : Juxtaposing two Swedish fashion companies and their corporate sustainability concepts

    Författare :Judith Katharina Nyfeler; Andrea Kollnitz; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Sustainability; brand values; ecology; corporate responsibility; slow fashion; Swedish fashion; modevetenskap; Fashion Studies;

    Sammanfattning : The fashion system has increasingly been imbued by ecology and sustainability. While in the recent years a lot on approaches to more sustainable consumption behaviour from the con- sumers’ side have been suggested, this study focuses on the very practice of how sustainabil- ity - in an applied matter - is realised within a fashion company. 3. 8. Applied Modeling of Moisture Phenomena in Concrete

    Författare :Marcin Stelmarczyk; Andrzej Cwirzen; Hans Hedlund; Klaas van Breugel; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Concrete; Modeling degree of hydration; Modeling chemically bounded water; Modeling moisture sorption; Modeling moisture transport; Hysteresis; Byggmaterial; Building Materials;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contains new and improved calculation models, based on applied research merging numerical modeling and material research, in the areas of hydration and chemical binding of water, sorption of moisture and transport of moisture in concrete. The proposed model for hydration and chemical binding of water is based on general kinetics modeling and calculates degree of hydration directly, without using of equivalent time of maturity. 4. 9. Structural assessment procedures for existing concrete bridges : Experiences from failure tests of the Kiruna Bridge

    Författare :Niklas Bagge; Björn Täljsten; Paulo Cruz; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Anchorage; carbon fibre reinforced polymers; concrete; existing bridges; finite element analysis; flexure; full-scale test; load-carrying capacity; residual prestress force; punching; safety verification; shear; structural assessment; structural behaviour; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Assessing existing bridges is an important task in the sustainable management ofinfrastructure. In practice, structural bridge assessments are usually conducted usingtraditional and standardised methods, despite knowledge that these methods oftenprovide conservative estimates. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Redundancy and Robustness Quantification of Bridge Systems based on Reliability and Risk Approaches

    Författare :Silvia Sarmiento; Gabriel Sas; Jaime Gonzalez-Libreros; Robert Hällmark; Thomas Blanksvärd; Sebastian Thöns; John Leander; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Existing bridges; reliability; risk; metamodel; Finite Element Modeling; Model tests; Byggkonstruktion; Structural Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last few decades, evaluating the performance of existing structures has become increasingly important, particularly as the number of bridges reaching their design life continues to rise. As a result, there is a growing need for effective and accurate procedures to guide the assessment of the current structures' capacity and safety levels to implement appropriate maintenance and rehabilitation strategies.
