  1. 1. Bond and Anchorage of Ribbed Bars in High-Strength Concrete

    Författare :Jonas Magnusson; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :non-linear finite element analysis; high-strength concrete; anchorage; ribbed bars; beam tests; bond; confinement; normal strength concrete; pull-out tests;

    Sammanfattning : For structural utilisation of high-strength concrete, a good understanding of the bond and anchorage behaviours of ribbed bars in this specific material is essential. The research project aims to increase the knowledge of bond and anchorage behaviours of ribbed bars in high-strength concrete. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Strength Properties of Paper produced from Softwood Kraft Pulp : Pulp Mixture, Reinforcement and Sheet Stratification

    Författare :Hanna Karlsson; Luciano Beghello; Lars Nilsson; Lennart Stolpe; Öyvind Gregersen; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; paper strength; tensile strength; tearing resistance; folding endurance; fracture toughness; handsheet former; stratify; multilayer; multiply; reinforcement; refining; beating; abaca; glass fibre; polyester; lyocell; softwood; bond strength; Cellulose and paper engineering; Cellulosa- och pappersteknik; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : For paper producers, an understanding of the development of strength properties in the paper is of uttermost importance. Strong papers are important operators both in the traditional paper industry as well as in new fields of application, such as fibre-based packaging, furniture and light-weight building material. 3. 3. Structural Behaviour of Concrete Railway Sleepers

    Författare :Rikard Gustavson; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :concrete; finite element analysis; three-wire strand; sleeper; bond; strand; pull-through tests; steel encased; push-in tests; bond mechanism; numerical bond model; dynamic loads;

    Sammanfattning : The railway concrete sleeper is an important part of the railway track structure. The sleeper member requires substantial engineering skills during the design and manufacturing process in order to fulfil the requirements set by modern train traffic. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Time dependent material properties of shotcrete for hard rock tunnelling

    Författare :Lars Elof Bryne; Anders Ansell; Wolfgang Kusterle; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Shotcrete; rock; granite; bond strength; compressive strength; pullout testing; failure modes; interfacial transition zone; micro structure; ettringite; set accelerator; shrinkage; drains; glass fibres; laboratory testing; tunnels tunnelling;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis different mechanical properties for shotcrete (sprayed concrete) such as compression strength, bond strength, bending tensile strength, elastic modulus, free and restrained shrinkage as a function of its age was investigated. One of the main issues was to investigate the difference between ordinary cast concrete and shotcrete. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Sliding stability re-assessment of concrete dams with bonded concrete-rock interfaces

    Författare :Alexandra Krounis; Stefan Larsson; Fredrik Johansson; Ignacio Escuder Bueno; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; concrete dams; sliding stability; cohesion; shear strength; uncertainty; bond; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Byggvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The shear strength of the concrete-rock interface is an important parameter in sliding stability analyses of concrete dams founded on rock and depends, in addition to the normal stress state, on the bonding conditions of the interface; concrete-rock interfaces can be either unbonded, partially bonded or fully bonded.In the Swedish guidelines for dam safety all dam-foundation contacts are treated as unbonded.
