  1. 1. Measurement and evaluation of body temperature : Implications for clinical practice

    Författare :Märtha Sund-Levander; Lis Karin Wahren; Ewa Grodzinsky; Karin Axelsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Assessment; body temperature measurement; elderly; evaluation; infection; nursing home; pneumonia; survival; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : The general aim was to explore factors influencing the normal variation and measurement of body temperature. Additional aims were to study morbidity, mortality and the clinical presentation of pneumonia and predictors for survival in elderly nursing-home residents. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Rigid Body Ship Dynamics

    Författare :Martin Alexandersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Inverse dynamics; Extended Kalman filter; Ship digital twin; Ship manoeuvring; RTS smoother; Multicollinearity; System identification;

    Sammanfattning : It is common today that operational data is recorded onboard ships within the Internet of Ships (IoS) paradigm. This enables the possibility to build ship digital twins as digital copies of the real ships. Predicting the ship’s motions with ship dynamics could be an important sub-component of these ship digital twins. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Improvements in Bioimpedance SpectroscopyData Analysis : Artefact Correction, ColeParameters, and Body Fluid Estimation

    Författare :Ruben Buendia; Fernando Seoane; Hermann Scharfetter; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bioimpedance; Cole; Body Fluid;

    Sammanfattning : The estimation of body fluids is a useful and common practice in the status assessment of diseasemechanisms and treatments. Electrical bioimpedance spectroscopy (EBIS) methods are non-invasive,inexpensive, and efficient alternatives for the estimation of body fluids. However, these methods areindirect, and their robustness and validity are unclear. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Measuring the impact of body functions on occupational performance : validation of the ADL-focused occupation-based neurobehavioral evaluation (A-ONE)

    Författare :Guðrún Árnadóttir; Anne Fisher; Britta Löfgren; Erik Bautz-Holter; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; occupational therapy; Rasch measurement; activities of daily living; assessment; stroke; dementia; neurology; outcome; Occupational therapy; Arbetsterapi; arbetsterapi; Occupational therapy;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Among the instruments commonly used by occupational therapists working in the area of rehabilitation of persons with neurological disorders are evaluations of both occupation, such as activities of daily living (ADL), and body functions. While persons with neurological diagnoses typically have symptoms that represent diminished neurobehavioral functions, the resulting pattern of neurobehavioral impairments affecting ADL performance often differs among diagnostic groups. 5. 5. Tailoring the Unique Figure

    Författare :Niina Hernández; Gothenburg University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; dressmaking; pattern construction; pattern adaptation; figure registration; body measurement; disfigurement; clothes; garment; made-to-measure; mass customisation; klädsömnad; mönsterkonstruktion; tillskärning;

    Sammanfattning : Today, it is possible to offer customers a garment to order according to their desires and body figure. The new, more automatic, equipment and software make the process faster and possible to realise. However it is important to have the basic knowledge about how to adapt the patterns according to the many variations of figures that exists. LÄS MER
