    Sammanfattning : Central venous catheters are mainly being used for reliable infusion of fluids and potentially irritant drugs, for haemodialysis, and for assessment of right atrial or central venous pressure (RAP/CVP). Current guidelines state that central venous catheterization should be followed-up by immediate anterior-posterior chest X-ray to confirm appropriate positioning and to detect iatrogenic pneumothorax.     Sammanfattning : The local deposition, pharmacokinetics, and systemic activity of inhaled and intranasal glucocorticosteroids in different formulations and devices(ICSs) has been investigated. After nasal administration of the ICS budesonide (Bud), the systemic availability (F) was found to be significantly higher from an aqueous pump spray and from the powder inhaler Turbuhaler, than from a pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI), and the uptake process was slower and less complete with the pMDI formulation.     Sammanfattning : Studies were performed to investigate the influence of the vasoconstrictors angiotensin II (AII) and norepinephrine (NE) on calcium metabolism in smooth muscle cells of afferent arterioles. Fura-2 and image analysis techniques were used to evaluate calcium responses in the proximal and distal parts of afferent arterioles with attached glomeruli. LÄS MER
