    Sammanfattning : The main aim of my dissertation is to make a contribution to the history of blind women in Sweden from 1879 to 1923 by demonstrating how they were educationally defined and classified during that period. I have chosen this particular period because education for the blind was separated from that of the deaf in 1879, when the first state-funded institute was founded. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this descriptive, longitudinal study is to contribute to an understanding of parents’ influences on vital developmental processes in congenitally blind children. Without visual impressions verbal communication can have an important compensatory function, giving the child access to the external world and to social information that can not be obtained by other means.
