16. The effect of radiolysis of BTBP type molecules on distribution ratios
Sammanfattning : Partitioning and transmutation of spent nuclear fuel enables a decrease in the long term radiotoxicity and volume of the waste to be disposed. By transforming the long-lived nuclides into shorter-lived or even stable ones, the time required for a final repository to be regarded safe for the environment can decrease from 100,000 years to less than 1,000 years. 17. Dye/Semiconductor Interfaces : An Electron Spectroscopic Study of Systems for Solar Cell and Display Applications
Sammanfattning : The properties relevant for electron transfer processes between dye molecules and semiconductor substrates, titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO), have been studied by means of photoelectron spectroscopy, PES, near edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy, NEXAFS, and resonant photoemission, RPES.For dye-sensitized solar cells, the currently used dyes are ruthenium polypyridine complexes adsorbed to the semiconductor via carboxyl linker groups. 18. Radiolytic Degradation of BTBP type Molecules for Treatment of Used Nuclear Fuel by Solvent Extraction
Sammanfattning : Nuclear fuel that has been discharged from nuclear reactors is highly radiotoxic and must be kept isolated from the biosphere for very long time periods. This requires an advanced final repository. One way to decrease the long-term radiotoxicity and thermal load of the used fuel is Partitioning and Transmutation (P&T). LÄS MER
19. Multi-functional Chromophores
Sammanfattning : As the push towards green energy become stronger, more efficient systems needs to be developed to compete with fossil fuel based systems. In modern Grätzel solar cells, most of the energy losses are inherited from the choice of chromophore and metal oxide surface. LÄS MER
20. Molecular Interaction of Thin Film Photosensitive Organic Dyes on TiO2 Surfaces
Sammanfattning : The photosensitive molecule adsorption on titanium dioxide (TiO2) forms the so-called “dye sensitized TiO2” system, a typical organic/oxide heterojunction, which is of great interest in catalysis and energy applications, e.g. dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). Traditionally, the transition metal complex dyes are the focus of the study. LÄS MER
