21. Tyskar i Kalmartrakten : En etnologisk studie av berättelser om historia, identitet och tillhörighet
Sammanfattning : The study deals with the life stories of six women and four men who were born in Germany and who now live in Sweden. Its purpose is to examine the histories of those who grew up in Germany during and after the Nazi era, their descriptions of their lives and experiences during childhood and adolescence, and how they regard their encounters with Swedish people, and the ways in which these encounters have affected their ways of describing the growth of their attachment to this country. Sammanfattning : In this dissertation I have sought to test the possibility of recreating a detailed picture of an individual medieval person, tracing the Danish archbishop Absalon's own world of thought and action through those surviving sources that he has left behind. The sources are both written and material, and they include the cloister church in Sorø, the Havn Castle, the Medieval history Gesta Danorum, the rune stone and church in Norra Åsum and Absalon's testament. Sammanfattning : The starting point of the doctoral project Minnesrörelser (Movements of Memory) is a documentary material, based on interviews, archival documents, letters, diaries and more, from Germany and Sweden from the 1930's to present time, focusing on childhood, upbringing, eugenics, bilingualism. The family as a place for historical writing, family stories inevitably connected with political history, and how they can be passed on or kept secret makes up the main subject matter, where questions of memory and postmemory, heritage and transgenerational consequences of terror, war and guilt, as well as the role of silence, speaking and translation, are investigated. Sammanfattning : The Swedish composer John Fernström (1897-1961) wrote over 200 pieces in the genres of symphonic music, chamber music and vocal music for mixed choirs, male choirs and solo vocals accompanied by piano. He lived most of his life in the province of Scania, first working in Helsingborg from 1916 1939 as a violinist in Nordvästra Skånes Orkester- förening [the Northwest Scanian Orchestra], whereafter he moved to Malmö and worked as a freelance conductor and composer until 1943.
