    Författare :Sepehr Shakeri Yekta; Bo Svensson; Ulf Skyllberg; Åsa Danielsson; Charles Banks; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biogas; Anaerobic digestion; Chemical speciation; bio-uptake; Sulfur; Iron; Cobalt; Nickel; Biogas; Anaerob nedbrytning; Kemisk speciering; Bio-upptag; Svavel; Järn; Kobolt; Nickel;

    Sammanfattning : A balanced supply of micronutrients, including metals such as iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), and nickel (Ni), is required for the efficient and stable production of biogas. During biogas formation, the uptake of micronutrient metals by microorganisms is controlled by a complex network of biological and chemical reactions, in which reduced sulfur (S) compounds play a central role. 2. 2. Biogas in Sweden - Opportunities and challenges from a systems perspective

    Författare :Mikael Lantz; Miljö- och energisystem; []
    Nyckelord :Biogas; Policy Instruments; Techno-economic assessments; Environmental assessments;

    Sammanfattning : Addressing today’s challenges of reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and related emissions of greenhouse gases requires measures such as increased energy efficiency and replacement of fossil energy carriers with renewable ones. Biogas is one of the fastest growing renewable energy sources in the world and the overarching purpose of the research presented in this doctoral thesis is to explore the prospects of an increased production and utilization of biogas in a Swedish context. 3. 3. Increase of Biogas Production at Wastewater Treatment Plants Addition of urban organic waste and pre-treatment of sludge

    Författare :Åsa Davidsson; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; kontroll av utsläpp; pollution control; Miljöteknik; Environmental technology; Miljöstudier; Environmental studies; biogas; anaerobic digestion; sludge; Wastewater; organic waste; methane;

    Sammanfattning : Anaerobic digestion of organic matter results in the production of biogas, which can be used to replace fossil fuels. There is potential for increased biogas production at wastewater treatment plants by digesting urban organic waste either separately or together with the sludge. Biogas production could also be increased by sludge pre-treatment. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Anaerobic Digester Fluid Rheology and Process Efficiency : Interactions of Substrate Composition, Trace Element Availability, and Microbial Activity

    Författare :Luka Šafarič; Annika Björn; Sepehr Shakeri Yekta; David Bastviken; David C Stuckey; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; Anaerobic digestion; biogas; rheology; trace elements; microbiology; Anaerob rötning; biogas; reologi; spårämnen; mikrobiologi;

    Sammanfattning : As the anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions continue imposing stress on our environment, it is becoming increasingly important to identify and implement new renewable technologies. Biogas production through anaerobic digestion has a great potential, since it links waste treatment with extraction of renewable energy, enabling circular bio-economies that are vital for a sustainable future. 5. 5. Energy Efficient Processes for the Production of Gaseous Biofuels - Reforming and Gas Upgrading

    Författare :Helena Svensson; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biofuels; Reverse-flow reforming; Gas upgrading; Amine absorption;

    Sammanfattning : Replacing fossil fuels with biofuels is one way of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, thus decreasing our impact on the global climate. For this to be a viable option, several production routes are needed, as no single option can fully replace fossil fuels. LÄS MER
