    Sammanfattning : Motivated by spectroscopic analysis of astrophysical and laboratory plasma, this thesis concerns the fundamental structure and spectral properties of atoms and their ions. The multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) method is used to predict the emission or absorption of radiation, by atomic systems in general, and of heavy and highly charged ions in particular. 2. 2. One Image, Many Insights: A Synergistic Approach Towards Enabling Autonomous Visual Inspection

    Författare :Vignesh Kottayam Viswanathan; George Nikolakopoulos; Dimitrios Kanoulas; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Unified autonomy; aerial robotics; space robotics; Robotics and Artificial Intelligence; Robotik och artificiell intelligens;

    Sammanfattning : Visual inspection in autonomous robotics is a task in which autonomous agents are required to gather visual information of objects of interest, in a manner that ensures safety, efficiency and comprehensive coverage. It is, therefore, crucial for identifying key landmarks, detecting cracks or defects, or reconstructing the observed object for detailed analysis. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an imaging modality that produces detailed images of the brain without using any ionizing radiation. From a structural MRI scan, it is possible to extract morphological properties of different brain regions, such as their volume and shape. LÄS MER

  5. 5. When water becomes a threat : Risk assessment and risk management plans for floods and drinking water in Swedish practice

    Författare :Viveca Norén; Kevin Bishop; Beatrice Hedelin; Lars Nyberg; Sven Halldin; Kurt Petersen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Flood; Drinking water supply; Risk management; Risk assessment; Flood risk management plan FRMP ; Integrated flood management IFM ; Tools and methods; Practice compared to theory; Sweden; Municipalities; Interview study; Document study; Earth Science with specialization in Environmental Analysis; Geovetenskap med inriktning mot miljöanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Water is an essential but vulnerable resource. A shortage of good quality drinking water is a threat to human health and society as a whole. Abundance of water in the form of floods can also be a serious threat which can have consequences for the drinking water supply. To reduce these risks there is a need for systematic risk reduction.
