    Sammanfattning : In pollen-sensitized subjects, seasonal allergen exposure results in clinical allergic disease, which in affected tissues displays a morphological picture typical of chronic inflammation.     Sammanfattning : Basophils are circulating granulocytes. They are very rare and represent less than 1% of peripheral blood leukocytes. Basophils connect the innate and adaptive immune responses by the secretion of a variety of immune-mediators involved in the pathogenesis of many inflammatory diseases mainly allergic reactions and autoimmune diseases.
