21. Effects of Citric Acid on Starch-Based Barrier Coatings
Sammanfattning : With growing environmental concerns, efforts are made to replace petroleum based products with renewable alternatives. This is particularly evident in the packaging industry, where replacing synthetic polymers with renewable materials is of considerable interest. LÄS MER
22. Design of Microstructures in Thermal Barrier Coatings : A Modelling Approach
Sammanfattning : Plasma sprayed Thermal Barrier Coating systems (TBCs) are commonly used for thermal protection of components in modern gas turbine application such as power generation, marine and aero engines. The material that is most commonly used in these applications is Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) because of this ceramic’s favourable properties, such as low thermal conductivity, phase stability to high temperature, and good erosion resistance. 23. Design of Thermal Barrier Coatings
Sammanfattning : Thermal barrier coatings (TBC’s) are used to provide both thermal insulation and oxidation protection to high temperature components within gas turbines. The development of turbines for power generation and aviation has led to designs where the operation conditions exceed the upper limits of most conventional engineering materials. LÄS MER
24. Full-adoption of digital payment methods? : Barriers and barrier-breakers from a Swedish bank customer perspective
Sammanfattning : Digitalisation and the Covid-19 pandemic have accelerated the decrease in demand for cash worldwide. This also concerns Sweden, which might be on its way to being the first cashless country in the world. The idea of a cashless society is motivated by various assumed benefits, although it also entails certain inherent challenges. LÄS MER
25. Intestinal Ischemia and Reperfusion Injury - Pathophysiology as basis for novel treatment
Sammanfattning : Intestinal ischemia and reperfusion (I/R) is not infrequent in the clinical situation and the intestinal barrier plays an important role in gut barrier function, preventing not at least septic complications and potentially the development of the multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Mechanisms of intestinal I/R induced gut epithelial and endothelial barrier dysfunction and remote organ dysfunction, as well as potential preventive and therapeutic modes of management were evaluated in the rat.
