    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this licentiate thesis was to describe fathers' experiences of having an infant born prematurely, with specific focuses on fathers' experiences from the birth and the experiences of being a father to a prematurely born infant. Qualitative research interviews were conducted with eight fathers of prematurely born infants, and their infant had been cared for at a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Women and men’s experiences and needs in relation to induced abortion, and their views on the prevention of unintended pregnancies were explored through questionnaire studies at 10 and13 Swedish women’s clinics (Papers I–IV). Among 798 women in age range 14 – 49, 35% had experience of at least one previous abortion, and in the age range 20 – 49, 41%. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Prevention of childhood obesity with its effects on children’s mental and physical health and well-being is an international public health priority and is suggested to be effective when started early. As Child Health Services lack an evidence-based model, there is the need for development of a low-intensive health promotion model that is feasible and cost-effective in preventing obesity in preschool children.
