Sammanfattning : This thesis evaluates and correlates the findings in a series of children with Legg-Calvé-Perthes´ Disease at the Departments of Orthopedics, University Hospitals in Lund, Sweden and Odense, Denmark during 1984-1993. It focuses on the importance of synovitis and its effect on the cartilage, on the shape of the femoral head in the early phases of LCPD and on femoral head remodeling after proximal femoral varus derotation osteotomy. Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to evaluate new MR techniques permitting qualitative and quantitative analysis of cardiac function and measurement of velocity and flow, and later on contrast-enhanced MR angiography, techniques largely unexplored in children with CHD. Sammanfattning : The purpose of the study was to develop an ultrasound (US) protocol for evaluating congenital clubfoot pathoanatomy before and during early treatment. By using 3 easily defined and reproducible US projections the talonavicular and the calcaneocuboid joints were assessed. LÄS MER
