16. Interactive RFID for Industrial and Healthcare Applications
Sammanfattning : This thesis introduces the circuit and system design of interactive Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. IoT has the vision of connectivity for anything, at anytime and anywhere. LÄS MER
17. Use of remote sensing and in situ observations of the atmosphere in chemical transport models
Sammanfattning : Measuring and simulating atmospheric chemical compositions helps us to better understand the impact from long-range transport of different pollutants. Aerosols and tropospheric ozone are examples of pollutants with life times long enough to get transported between continents. LÄS MER
18. Spatio-temporal filtering of ultrasound image sequences
Sammanfattning : A number of diseases result in reduced perfusion of the vital organs of the body. Measures of the blood flow in the small vessels (the perfusion) of these organs would contribute significantly to a clinical diagnosis. Myocardial contrast echocardiography is a rapidly developing technique for non-invasive ultrasound imaging of perfusion. LÄS MER
19. Model-Based Stem Volume Retrieval and Windthrow Detection using CARABAS and P-band SAR
Sammanfattning : Radar remote sensing is an efficient method for monitoring forests over large areas. Radar waves transmitted from a system carried by a satellite or an aircraft interact with trees on the ground, and the reflected waves are used to form images which are independent of weather and light conditions. 20. Quantum transport and spin effects in lateral semiconductor nanostructures and graphene
Sammanfattning : This thesis studies electron spin phenomena in lateral semi-conductor quantum dots/anti-dots and electron conductance in graphene nanoribbons by numerical modelling. In paper I we have investigated spin-dependent transport through open quantum dots, i.e., dots strongly coupled to their leads, within the Hubbard model. LÄS MER
