  1. 1. Contact allergy to textile dyes. Clinical and experimental studies on disperse azo dyes

    Författare :Laura Malinauskiene; Yrkes- och miljödermatologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Disperse Orange 1; Disperse Yellow 3; metabolites; azo reduction; p-aminodiphenylamine; 4-nitroaniline; 2-amino-p-cresol; 4-aminoacetanilide; TLC; HPLC; guinea pig maximisation test.;

    Sammanfattning : Disperse dyes are the most common allergens among textile dyes. It is not known whether the purified dyes, impurities in the commercial dyes, or metabolites are the actual sensitisers. Moreover, it is not known whether those disperse dyes that are now present in test series are actually used in textile dyeing today. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Voltammetric properties of olsalazine sodium and some related compounds

    Författare :Alf Eriksson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Olsalazine sodium; electrochemistry; oxidation; reduction; azosalicylic compounds; aminosalicylic acids; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The voltammetric properties of Olsalazine sodium, seven other azosalicylic acids and the azoxy analogue of Olsalazine sodium have been studied in aqueous solutions mainly by cyclic voltammetry and constant potential coulometry. It was found that these compounds can all be both reduced and oxidised at a glassy carbon electrode. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Treatment of Textile Wastewater by Combining Biological Processes and Advanced Oxidation

    Författare :Marisa Punzi; Bioteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Azo dye; textile wastewater; biological treatment; biofilm; microbial community; DGGE; green algae; photo-Fenton; ozone; toxicity; mutagenicity; LCA; cost analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Treatment of textile wastewater is challenging because the water contains toxic compounds that have low biodegradability. Dyes, detergents, surfactants, biocides and more are used to improve the textile process and to make the clothes resistant to physical, chemical and biological agents. LÄS MER
