  1. 1. Spatial Decompositions of a Fully-developed Turbulent Round Jet Sampled with Particle Image Velocimetry

    Författare :Maja Wänström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; proper orthogonal decomposition; axisymmetric turbulent jet; PIV; spatial spectral analysis; equilibrium similarity;

    Sammanfattning : Spatial decompositions of the turbulence in a far, axisymmetric jet at exit Reynolds number of 20, 000 have been performed. Equilibrium similaritytheory applied to the two-point Reynolds stresses has shown that the turbulence statistics in the far, fully developed region of an axisymmetric jet should be independent of origin in the streamwise direction when evaluated on the similarity coordinates system. 2. 2. Near-Field Study of Multiple Interacting Jets : Confluent Jets

    Författare :Shahriar Ghahremanian; Bahram Moshfegh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple interacting jets; confluent jets; axisymmetric round jet; Low Reynolds number jet; Particle Image Velocimetry PIV ; Laser Doppler Anemometry LDA ; Hot-Wire anemometry HWA ; RANS turbulence models; SST ? − ?; Low Reynolds ? − ?; Response Surface Method;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the near-field of confluent jets, which can be of interest in many engineering applications such as design of a ventilation supply device. The physical effect of interaction between multiple closely spaced jets is studied using experimental and numerical methods. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Numerical investigation of the turbulent flow and heat transfer around a heated cube cooled by and impinging jet in a cross-flow

    Författare :Daniel Rundström; Bahram Moshfegh; Sasa Kenjers; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Impinging jets are used for many industrial applications where high heat and mass transfer rates are required. The electronic industry is one of the fastest growing industries and applications of cooling technology in this field are of considerable importance. Forced channel flow is frequently used as a cooling technique. LÄS MER
