  1. 11. The Balanced Electromagnetic Separation Transducer for Bone Conduction Audiometry and Hearing Rehabilitation

    Författare :Karl-Johan Fredén Jansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; retention magnet; bone vibrator; demagnetization; bone conduction; balanced electromagnetic separation transducer; magnetically induced torque; image artifact; magnetic resonance imaging;

    Sammanfattning : Hearing via air conduction (AC) and bone conduction (BC) are attributed to bethe natural ways of conducting sound to the cochlea. With AC hearing, air pressurevariations are transmitted to the cochlea via the ear canal, whereas with BChearing, sound vibrations are transmitted through the skull bone to the cochlea. LÄS MER

  3. 13. The Lure of Origins : An Inquiry into Human-Environmental Relations, Focused on the ”Neolithization” of Sweden

    Författare :Per Johansson; Humanekologi; []

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this dissertation is to contribute to the discussion of the deeper meaning, in our contemporary context, of the ”neolithization” of Sweden. The basis for the investigation is twofold: * a critical examination of recent research reports dealing mostly with the Early Neolithic of (Middle) Sweden which shows, inter alia, that ”agriculture” was of marginal importance for a very long time from about 4000 BC onwards, while, at the same time, the idea of ”the transition to farming” dominates discourse. 4. 14. Work and Technology Use in Centers of Coordination : Reflections on the relationship between situated practice and artifact design

    Författare :Maria Normark; Kerstin Severinsson Eklundh; Susanne Bødker; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sociology; Sociologi; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The research problem explored in this thesis is how technology and work practice are related in coordinative situations (collocated and over distance). Further, the problem of how this kind of research results can be transformed and used in the development of new technology is discussed. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Using technology for real-time coordination of work : a study of work and artifact use in the everyday activities at SOS Alarm

    Författare :Maria Normark; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Numerical analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : Work in control rooms, or so-called Centers of coordination, places demands both on humans and technology. The people working there have to be able to make quick decisions as well as be alert during less busy times. The work has to be coordinated within the group, since the operators are much depending on each other's work. LÄS MER
