  1. 1. Resilient Appliance Therapy of Temporomandibular Disorders. Subdiagnoses, Sense of Coherence and Treatment Outcome

    Författare :Håkan Nilsson; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; stomatognathic physiology; TMD-pain; resilient appliance treatment;

    Sammanfattning : Temporomandibulär dysfunktion (TMD) med käk- och/eller ansiktssmärta,med eller utan nedsatt käkfunktion, är vanligt förekommandetillstånd i befolkningen. Tandpressning och gnissling,som kan vara utlösta på grund av hög psykosocial stress, utgör tillsammanseller parallellt med bland annat käktrauma, orsaksfaktorersom kan ge upphov till TMD-symtom som smärta.     Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; microscopic colitis; epidemiology; risk factors; comorbidity; health-related quality of life;

    Sammanfattning : Microscopic colitis (MC) constitutes the main entities collagenous colitis (CC) and lymphocytic colitis (LC), diseases that are relatively recently described (in 1976 and 1989, respectively).The aims of this thesis were to study the epidemiology of MC, to describe how these diseases affect patients in terms of symptom burden and health-related quality of life (HRQoL), to study potential risk factors such as familial factors, childhood circumstances, educational level, marital status, smoking and comorbidity, and to describe a cohort of patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn’s disease (CD) and subsequent MC, and vice versa. Sammanfattning : The spotted fever rickettsia, Rickettsia helvetica, is an endemic tick-borne bacteria in Sweden. It causes infections in humans, manifested as aneruptive fever, headache, arthralgia and myalgia, and sometimes an inoculation eschar or a rash. 4. 4. Diagnostic and prognostic potential of joint imaging in patients with anti-citrullinated protein antibodies

    Författare :Michael Ziegelasch; Thomas Skogh; Alf Kastbom; Mattias Magnusson; Kristina Forslind; Hilde Berner-Hammer; Jan Cedergren; Tuulikki Sokka-Isler; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The introduction of novel therapeutic strategies set new goals for the patients’ outcome, which aims to achieve remission. This goal requires early diagnosis of RA and prompt efficient pharmacotherapy. The introduction of anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) two decades ago allowed an earlier RA diagnosis. 5. 5. Magnetic resonance imaging in patients with temporomandibular disorders and pain

    Författare :Napat Limchaichana; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the method of choice for imaging disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and pain. But the method is expensive, and wait times for MRI exams of the TMJ are long. LÄS MER
