Creativity is regarded as a key competence for future education by the European Union as well as by UNESCO, and my wish is to contribute to this contemporary global agenda of rethinking education. Creativity is central for complex problem- solving and we need to rethink education to facilitate for our future citizens to develop creativity, to be able to meet our interconnected world's urgent need for sustainable development.     Sammanfattning : When the Nationalmuseum opened its gates in 1866 to the public, it was the end of a process which had lasted more than fifty years. The building itself had taken more than twenty years of arguments and struggle to erect, and the debate on whether the nation needed a national museum of art had started already in the 1810s.
