  1. 1. Lärares möten med sociala medier : applikationer i behov av explikationer

    Författare :Niclas Ekberg; Per-Olof Erixon; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Pedagogik; Education;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this dissertation has been set against the background of both existing research and teachers’ perceptions and experiences with the aim to clarify and better understand what constitutes the teacher’s encounter with social media in teaching. The theoretical starting point in hermeneutical phenomenology in accordance with Heidegger, Gadamer and Ricœur has brought with it not merely the resolve to describe the encounter’s context of meaning, but also the forward-looking striving to point out its possibilities. 2. 2. III-V Devices for Emerging Electronic Applications

    Författare :Patrik Olausson; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cryogenic; Hall; III-V; InAs; InGaAs; Josephson junction; Magnetoresistance; MOSFET; Nanowire; Quantum well; Superconductivity; Template-assisted selective epitaxy; Cryogenic; Hall; III-V; InAs; InGaAs; Josephson junction; Magnetoresistance; MOSFET; Nanowire; Quantum well; Superconductivity; Template-assisted selective epitaxy;

    Sammanfattning : Today’s digitalized society relies on the advancement of silicon (Si) Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology, but the limitations of down-scaling and the rapidly increasing demand for added functionality that is not easily achieved in Si, have pushed efforts to monolithically 3D-integrate III-V devices above the Si-CMOS technology. In addition, the demand for increased computational power and handling of vast amounts of data is rapidly increasing. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Edge orchestration for latency-sensitive applications

    Författare :Ali Rahmanian; Erik Elmroth; Ahmed Ali-Eldin; Ada Gavrilovska; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Edge Computing; Resource Management; Latency-Sensitive Applications; Edge Video Analytics; Computer Science; datalogi; Computer Systems; datorteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The emerging edge computing infrastructure provides distributed and heterogeneous resources closer to where data is generated and where end-users are located, thereby significantly reducing latency. With the recent advances in telecommunication systems, software architecture, and machine learning, there is a noticeable increase in applications that require processing times within tight latency constraints, i. 4. 4. Block Copolymer Nanolithography for Sub-50 nm Structure Applications

    Författare :Anette Löfstrand; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sampolymer; riktad självorganisation; ytrekonstruktion; mönsteröverföring; sekventiell infiltrationssyntes; neutronreflektometri; Block copolymer; Directed self-assembly; Surface reconstruction; Pattern transfer; Sequential infiltration synthesis; Neutron reflectometry; Fysicumarkivet A:2021:Löfstrand;

    Sammanfattning : As high technology device patterns are continuing to move towards decreasing critical dimensions and increasing pattern density, there is a need for lithography to move in the same direction. Block copolymer (BCP) lithography is a promising technique, which has single digit nanometer resolution, has a pattern periodicity of about 7-200 nm, and easily scales up to large area at a low cost. 5. 5. Bringing Augmented Reality to Mobile Phones

    Författare :Anders Henrysson; Anders Ynnerman; Kari Pulli; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mobile Phone; Augmented Reality; HCI; Ubiquitous Computing; 3D Interaction; Computer Vision; Image analysis; Bildanalys;

    Sammanfattning : With its mixing of real and virtual, Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that has attracted lots of attention from the science community and is seen as a perfect way to visualize context-related information. Computer generated graphics is presented to the user overlaid and registered with the real world and hence augmenting it. LÄS MER
