    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Gene polymorphism; Colorectal cancer; Immunoregulation; Prognosis; Gene and protein expression; Survival; Zmynd15; Genpolymorfism; Kolorektal cancer; Immunreglering; Prognos; Gen- och proteinuttryck; Överlevnad; Zmynd15; Biomedical Laboratory Science; Biomedicinsk laboratorievetenskap; Medical Cell Biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi; Patologi; Pathology;

    Sammanfattning : Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer related death. It is a heterogeneous disease involving multiple molecular pathways that result in differing phenotypes. Individual variability in CRC susceptibility is influenced by genetic variation, such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). 2. 2. Role of Wnt-5a in breast cancer

    Författare :Janna Sand-Dejmek; Malmö Experimentell patologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; General pathology; signal transduction; metastasis; adhesion; breast cancer; Syk; Wnt-5a; DDR1; pathological anatomy; Patologi allmän ; patologisk anatomi;

    Sammanfattning : Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer forms in the industrialized world. Only in Sweden, nearly 6000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 1/3 of them eventually succumb to the disease. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Cyclin A1 Expression and Regulation in Hematopoietic and Leukemic Cells

    Författare :Jenny Ekberg; Malmö Patologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cancer; General pathology; pathological anatomy; Patologi allmän ; patologisk anatomi; onkologi; Cytologi; cancerology; oncology; Cytology; AML; cyclin A1; apoptosis; cell cycle regulation;

    Sammanfattning : Increased expression of the cell cycle regulatory protein cyclin A1 has previously been detected in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and targeted overexpression of cyclin A1 in a transgenic mouse model initiated AML. The aim of this thesis was to further study the expression and regulation of cyclin A1 in hematopoietic cells. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Aggressive lymphoma

    Författare :Mats Jerkeman; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cytology; BCL6 rearr; 1q21-23; cytogenetics; histopathology; P-glycoprotein; p53; BCL2; Ki-67; immunohistochemistry; proliferation; dose intensity; health-related quality of life; International Prognostic Index; prognostic factors; aggressive lymphoma; chemotherapy; patologisk anatomi; Patologi allmän ; pathological anatomy; General pathology; cancer; onkologi; Cytologi; cancerology; oncology;

    Sammanfattning : Aggressive lymphoma is a rapidly growing tumour of lymphocyte origin, potentially curable with chemotherapy. In a trial by the Nordic Lymphoma Group, 405 patients with aggressive lymphoma were included, and randomised to receive either the standard chemotherapy regimen, CHOP, or a weekly multidrug regimen, MACOP-B. 5. 5. Endothelial and cardiac effects of 5-fluorouracil. An experimental and clinical study

    Författare :Sara Kinhult; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cancerology; oncology; Cytology; endothelin; onkologi; Cytologi; cancer; von Willebrand factor; thrombomodulin; lipoperoxidation; probucol; low-molecular weight heparin; scanning electron microscopy; 5-fluorouracil; endothelium;

    Sammanfattning : The cytostatic drug 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) has been shown to affect both morphology and function of vascular endothelium. These effects could be part of the pathophysiology for 5-FU induced cardiotoxicity. The present thesis explores the mechanisms of this endothelial toxicity. LÄS MER
