  1. 1. Sputtering-based processes for thin film chalcogenide solar cells on steel substrates

    Författare :Patrice Bras; Charlotte Platzer-Björkman; Eric Jaremalm; Jan Sterner; Veronica Bernudez; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :CIGS; CZTS; solar cell; photovoltaics; thin film; sputtering; annealing; gallium grading; blister; uniformity; stainless steel; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektronik; Engineering Science with specialization in Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : Thin film chalcogenide solar cells are promising photovoltaic technologies. Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS)-based devices are already produced at industrial scale and record laboratory efficiency surpasses 22 %. Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTS) is an alternative material that is based on earth-abundant elements. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Fundamentals of substructure dynamics : In-situ experiments and numerical simulation

    Författare :Verity Borthwick; Sandra Piazolo; Dorte Juul Jensen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; halite; in-situ; X-ray diffraction; EBSD; annealing; substructure; modelling; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap; Geology; geologi;

    Sammanfattning : Substructure dynamics incorporate all features occurring on a subgrain-scale. The substructure governs the rheology of a rock, which in turn determines how it will respond to different processes during tectonic changes. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Zinc Oxide Bulk and Nanorods

    Författare :Peter Klason; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; zinc oxide; Schottky contact; buckling; annealing; semiconductor growth; ion implantation; photoluminescence; nanorods;

    Sammanfattning : Zinc Oxide (ZnO) has many promising properties for optoelectronics, sensor applications, transparent electronics etc. To mention a few, ZnO has a large exciton binding energy (60 meV at room temperature) and a direct wide bandgap energy of 3.37 eV. In addition, ZnO is piezoelectric and shows more resistance to radiation damage than Si and GaN. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Process-microstructure-corrosion interrelations for stainless steel

    Författare :David Lindell; Rachel Pettersson; Rebecca L. Higginson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; stainless steel; processing; annealing; pickling; microstructure; corrosion; anisotropy; oxyfuel; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Stainless steels were first developed in the early 20th century and have since then emerged as a very diverse class of engineering materials. Along with steels having new combinations of properties, there is a continuous development of new technologies allowing the material to be produced in a faster and more energy effcient manner.
