2. Battling Bacterial Biofilm - antibiotic regimens targeting Grampositive pathogens in biofilm
Sammanfattning : AbstractBacteria in most environments encase themselves in a hydrated matrix of polysaccharide and protein, forming organized communities called biofilms. In the biofilm bacteria are protected against hostile environments. Biofilms are important clinically because of their persistence despite host defence and their recalcitrance to antimicrobials. 3. Effects of a Novel Amphiphilic Graft Copolymer on Ternary Mixtures of Surfactant, Water, and Oil
Sammanfattning : An amphiphilic graft copolymer, with hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) monomethyl ether side chains grafted onto a hydrophobic poly(dodecyl methacrylate) backbone, has been synthesized. The side chains are water soluble and the backbone is soluble in oils such as cyclohexane and isooctane. LÄS MER
