    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this study is to explore how people who have experienced events in the past re-contextualize these same events in the present.     Sammanfattning : Flooding is of great concern world-wide, causing damage to infrastructure, property and loss of life. Low-income countries, in particular, can be negatively affected by flood events due to their inherent vulnerabilities.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis natural science is combined with environmental psychology in order to determine how deforestation and subsequent agricultural expansion in the Peruvian highland jungle has affected the natural environment and rural livelihoods. This region is part of one of the most biodiverse areas on Earth and is also exposed to high pressure from deforestation that threatens the ecosystems as well as the well-being of local populations.     Sammanfattning : Previous research in phraseological studies has approached the difficulties that learners of foreign and second languages have to produce word combinations derived from idiomatic- or phraseological principles. Using the theoretical framework of Sinclair’s idiom principle and applying a corpus-based methodological approach to contrastive linguistics and the study of interlanguage, I have analyzed the use of Spanish word sequences by Swedish learners.     Sammanfattning : El objetivo de la presente tesis es la mejora de los actuales ejes de ancho variable para su circulación por vías de alta velocidad (AV) a velocidades de hasta 300km/h. En la actualidad los vehículos con ejes de ancho variable no sobrepasan los 250km/h de velocidad de servicio en vías de AV, lo que supone un claro desaprovechamiento de recursos y dificultades de gestión del tráfico para el gestor de la infraestructura a causa de las distintas velocidades punta de los diferentes trenes.
