  1. 1. Novel Pincer Complex-Catalyzed Transformations : Including Asymmetric Catalysis

    Författare :Juhanes Aydin; Kálmán J. Szabó; Oleg V. Ozerov; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; pincer; palladium; catalysis; chiral; asymmetric; palladium IV; allylation; aldol; aminoacid; C-H functionalization; cross-coupling; homoallylic; heck reaction; tridentate ligand; Chemistry; Kemi; Organic Chemistry; organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused on the development of new pincer complex-catalyzed transformations. Optimization of the catalytic properties (fine-tuning) was directed to increase the catalytic activity as well as the chemo-, stereo- and enantioselectivity of the complexes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Synthesis of Organoboronic Acids and Applications in Asymmetric Organocatalysis

    Författare :Sybrand Jonker; Kálmán Szabó; Jörg Pietruszka; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Boronic acid; BINOL; allylboration; propargylation; homologation; stereoselective synthesis; asymmetric synthesis; organocatalysis; allylboronic acid; allenylboronic acid; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Allyl- and allenylboronic acids are valuable reagents in organic synthesis due to their configurational stability and high reactivity. Few allyl- and allenylboronates are commercially available. Therefore, both the preparation and synthetic application of these organoboronic acids are subjects of study. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Chromatin structure in liver nuclei of Atlantic salmon after activation of the vitellogenin gene by 17-β estradiol

    Författare :Sean Waters; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The present investigations were initiated to study changes in hepatic nucleiduring the 17-ß estradiol induced synthesis of vitellogenin in Atlantic salmon(Salmo salar). As a model system for the naturally maturing fish parr andsmoltified salmon were used and treated with the steroid hormone. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Molecular genetic studies of three autosomal recessive disorders : Sjögren-Larsson syndrome, glutathione synthetase deficiency and congenital ichthyosis

    Författare :Maritta Pigg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; Sjögren-Larsson syndrome; glutathione synthetase deficiency; congenital ichthyosis; linkage analysis; allelic association; mutation analysis; transglutaminase 1 gene; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Clinical Genetics; klinisk genetik;

    Sammanfattning : Investigations at the DNA level were performed in order to characterise the molecular basis forthree genetic disorders:Sjögren-Larsson syndrome (SLS) is characterised by congenital ichthyosis and severeneurological symptoms. Linkage analysis and allelic association of 24 Swedish families affectedby SLS showed linkage between the disease and the marker D17S805 on chromosome 17. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Functional Characterization of Centrally Expressed Solute Carriers and G Protein-Coupled Receptors

    Författare :Smitha Sreedharan; Helgi Schiöth; Robert Fredriksson; David Engblom; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; GPCR; SLC; Gpr153; Gpr162; Slc17; Slc38; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Transmembrane proteins are gatekeepers of the cells; controlling the transport of substrates as well as communicating signals among cells and between the organelles and cytosol. Solute carriers (SLC) and G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) are the largest family of membrane transporters and membrane receptors respectively. LÄS MER
