    Sammanfattning : The only proven genetic risk factor for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an inherited Z (Glu342¡úLys) deficiency of alpha-1-antitrypsin (AAT), a major inhibitor of neutrophil elastase.
