  1. 11. Lymphoid cells in allergic contact dermatitis in guinea-pigs

    Författare :Ove Groth; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

  2. 12. Clinical and experimental studies in corticosteroid contact allergy

    Författare :Marléne Isaksson; Yrkes- och miljödermatologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; venereologi; Dermatologi; venereology; Dermatology; inhalation; ROAT; mixes; hydrocortisone-17-butyrate; Corticosteroids; budesonide; tixocortol pivalate; dose-response relationship; clinical relevance; stability; allergic contact dermatitis;

    Sammanfattning : Corticosteroids are anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative substances that also can induce sensitization, mainly through skin contact. In a sensitized individual, it can be hard to disclose the contact allergy at patch testing because the anti-inflammatory effect may mask the allergic contact reaction. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Contact Allergy to Epoxy Resins of the Bisphenol F-type

    Författare :Ann Pontén; Yrkes- och miljödermatologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; thin-layer chromatography; occupational dermatitis; isomers; bisphenol F; bisphenol A; DGEBF; DGEBA; epoxy resin of the bisphenol F-type; Epoxy resin; contact allergy; Dermatology; venereology; Dermatologi; venereologi; Occupational health; industrial medicine; Yrkesmedicin; arbetsmiljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Epoxy resins based on bisphenol A are well-known contact allergens and often cause occupational contact allergy. The most important allergen is the monomer diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA). LÄS MER

  4. 14. Molecular mechanisms and complete antigen formation in allergic contact dermatitis

    Författare :Stefan Ahlfors; Lund Dermatologi och venereologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; hypersensitivity; adduct; immune response.; Allergy; hapten;

    Sammanfattning : Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is a common T cell mediated skin disease. Small reactive organic molecules called haptens induce ACD. Haptens are not recognized by themselves, but need to bond to endogenous proteins in the skin, and processed further into complete antigens. Antigen specific T cells then recognize the resulting antigen. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Epoxides as Contact Allergens - Formation, Sensitising Potency and Structure-Activity Relationships

    Författare :Ida Belogorcev Niklasson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Allergic contact dermatitis; Autoxidation; Bioactivation; Cinnamic alcohol; Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A DGEBA ; Epoxide; Epoxy resin; Local lymph node assay; Polymerisation; Peptide reactivity; Prehapten; Prohapten; Sensitisation; Skin; Structure-Activity Relationship; Thermogravimetric Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Chemicals in our environment with which we have repeated skin contact can cause skin sensitisation (contact allergy). To trigger an immune response a compound (hapten) must be able to penetrate the skin, where it needs to be reactive enough to bind to proteins and form immunogenic complexes that are recognised as foreign.
