  1. 1. Halftoning for Multi-Channel Printing : Algorithm Development, Implementation and Verification

    Författare :Paula Žitinski Elías; Sasan Gooran; Daniel Nyström; Mattias Andersson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : A seemingly straightforward way to enhance the quality of printed images is to increase the number of colorants, beyond the four traditionally used, in multi-channel printing. Potential improvements to reproduced images include: increased colour accuracy, enhanced colour smoothness and reduced image graininess. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Marine Propeller Optimisation - Strategy and Algorithm Development

    Författare :Florian Vesting; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cavitation; artificial neural network; RANS; Kriging; potential flow; genetic algorithm; constrained optimisation; PSO; marine propeller;

    Sammanfattning : Recent trends in the shipping industry, e.g., expanded routing in ecologically sensitive areas and emission regulations, have sharpened the perception of efficient propeller designs. Currently, propeller efficiency, estimated fuel consumption and, more often, propeller-radiated noise are parameters that steer the business Zeitgeist. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Representation of Quantum Algorithms with Symbolic Language and Simulation on Classical Computer

    Författare :Peter Nyman; Andrei khrennikov; Paul Fischer; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Deutsch-Josza algorithm; Grover s algorithm; Quantum computing; Quantum error-correcting; Shor s algorithm; Simon s algorithm; Simulation of quantum algorithms; Deutsch-Josza algoritm; Grovers algoritm; Kvantdatorer; kvantmekanisk felrättande kod; Shors algoritm; Simons algoritm; Simulering av kvantdatorer; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Sammanfattning : Utvecklandet av kvantdatorn är ett ytterst lovande projekt som kombinerar teoretisk och experimental kvantfysik, matematik, teori om kvantinformation och datalogi. Under första steget i utvecklandet av kvantdatorn låg huvudintresset på att skapa några algoritmer med framtida tillämpningar, klargöra grundläggande frågor och utveckla en experimentell teknologi för en leksakskvantdator som verkar på några kvantbitar. 4. 4. Development of analytical methods for the determination of the small molecule component of complex biological systems

    Författare :Kristian Pirttilä; Mikael Hedeland; Curt Pettersson; Torbjörn Arvidsson; Thomas Moritz; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; metabolomics; data processing; peak characterization; algorithm; multivariate data analysis; chromatography; sequential columns; HILIC; RPLC; liquid chromatography; mass spectrometry; LC; MS; noise-induced hearing loss; NIHL; guinea pig; perilymph; method development; validation; R; C ; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The research field of untargeted metabolomics aims to determine the relative abundance of all small metabolites in a biological system in order to find biomarkers or make biological inference with regards to the internal or external stimuli. This is no trivial aim, as the small metabolites are both vast in numbers and extremely diverse in their chemical properties. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Brownian Dynamics Simulations of Macromolecules : Algorithm Development and Polymers under Confinement

    Författare :Tobias Carlsson; Christer Elvingson; Wim Briels; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis I have used computer simulations to study the structure and dynamics of grafted polymers during confinement. These systems are of importance for understanding e.g. colloidal stability and surface coatings. LÄS MER
