    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the study of lipase–lipid interactions of the triglyceride lipase Thermomyces lanuginosus lipase, TLL, by use of site-directed chemical labeling and biological spectroscopy.     Sammanfattning : The high variability of the HIV envelope glycoproteins (Env), and their heavy glycan coating, contributes to the limited host immune control. Still, broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) are found in some chronically infected HIV-infected individuals, which has spurred the research on antibody-based vaccines. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Since its identification in raphe neurons of the central nervous system (CNS), the biogenic amine serotonin (5- hydroxytryptamin, 5-HT) has been implicated in the etiology and pathophysiology of affective disorders, such as depression. It has been proposed that enhancement of central serotonergic transmission may underlie the therapeutic response to different types of antidepressant drugs. LÄS MER

Enzymer är en typ av proteiner som accelererar (katalyserar) kemiska reaktioner, vilket är nödvändigt för allt levande.     Sammanfattning : Mast cells are classically defined as bad enemies to human health due to their critical involvement in IgE-dependent allergy by virtue of the expression of the high affinity IgE receptor, FcgammaRI, on these cells. However, mouse mast cells also express FcgammaRIIB and FcgammaRIIIA, two receptors that bind IgG especially in the form of IgG immune complexes. LÄS MER
