1. Advances in DNA Detection on Paper Chips
Sammanfattning : DNA detection has an increasing importance in our everyday lives, with applications ranging from microbial diagnostics to forensic analysis. Currently, as the associated costs decrease, DNA diagnostic techniques are routinely used not only in research laboratories, but also in clinical and forensic practice. LÄS MER
2. Mechanisms of transendothelial and tissue transport in the peritoneum. Experimental studies on rat
Sammanfattning : In the present thesis, the quantitative role of active transport (transcytosis) in bulk transvascular protein movement in vivo was evaluated. Using chemical transcytosis inhibition (N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) and filipin), we were able to show that NEM actually increases endothelial permeability to macromolecules, probably as a result of unspecific toxic action on endothelial cells. 3. Advances in DNA Detection
Sammanfattning : DNA detection technologies have an increasing importance in our everyday lives, with applications ranging from microbial diagnostics to forensic analysis, food safety evaluation, and environmental monitoring. Currently, as the associated costs decrease, DNA diagnostic techniques are routinely used in research laboratories, in clinical and forensic practice. LÄS MER
4. Low Voltage CMOS Radio Receiver Front-End Design
Sammanfattning : The mass production of integrated circuits for digital electronics has made CMOS technology the most frequently used IC process today. Thanks to the large production volume, CMOS has increasingly become the most cost efficient technology of choice, and the fast development of small, high speed CMOS devices has made the technology feasible for many RF applications. 5. Single Phase Active Power Factor Correction Converters - Methods for Optimizing EMI, Performance and Costs
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, front-end solutions with single-phase power factor correction (PFC) capability are studied. The reduction of current harmonics using various PFC techniques is investigated and related to the EN 61000-3-2 standard. LÄS MER
