  1. 21. CT colonography. Technique, diagnostic accuracy and patient acceptance

    Författare :Maria H Svensson (Reutersköld); Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Colon; Rectum; Computed tomography; Three-dimensional imaging; Colorectal neoplasms; Colonic polyps; Colonoscopy; Acceptance testing; Incidental findings; Diagnostic accuracy;

    Sammanfattning : The aim was to evaluate diagnostic potential, technical performance, and patient acceptance of CT colonography when used for detection of colorectal polyps and cancer in symptomatic patients with a high risk of colorectal neoplasia.Methods: After bowel preparation, 111 symptomatic patients underwent CT colonography followed by conventional colonoscopy. 2. 22. Exploring and predicting DNA template dependent variation in transcription

    Författare :Harriet Mellenius; Måns Ehrenberg; Johan Elf; Dan Andersson; Otto Berg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transcription; accuracy; kinetic proofreading; selection; Biology with specialization in Molecular Biotechnology; Biologi med inriktning mot molekylär bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Reliable transmission of information from DNA to proteins is a pre-requisite for all life, where substitution errors in the polypeptide chain may arise from transcription, aminoacylation of tRNAs or translation. The fidelity control mechanisms in transcription have nevertheless received little attention, based on the assumption that the transcriptional error is masked by the translational error. LÄS MER

  3. 23. In Vivo Accuracy and Precision in Prosthodontics

    Författare :Robert Nedelcu; Andreas Thor; Ingela Nyström; Pontus Olsson; Per Vult von Steyern; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; accuracy; precision; in vivo; digital impression; intraoral scanner; polyether impression; implant impression; framework misfit; fully edentulous; Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; Käkkirurgi; Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; Käkkirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : Background: There has been a dramatic increase in commercially available intraoral scanners (IOS) in the last decade, offering to replace indirect digitization of models (MOD) fabricated from impressions (IMPR). IOS has benefits of less patient discomfort and a faster workflow to fabricate fixed dental prosthesis (FDP), and implant-supported prostheses (IFD). LÄS MER

  4. 24. Enterprise Architecture for Information System Analysis : Modeling and assessing data accuracy, availability, performance and application usage

    Författare :Närman Per; Mathias Ekstedt; Pontus Johnson; Sjaak Brinkkemper; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Enterprise Architecture; Metamodeling; Decision-making; Data Accuracy; Service Availability; Service Performance; Technology Acceptance Model; Task Technology Fit;

    Sammanfattning : Decisions concerning IT systems are often made without adequate decision-support. This has led to unnecessary IT costs and failures to realize business benefits. The present thesis presents a framework for analysis of four information systems properties relevant to IT decision-making. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Registered nurse-led emergency department triage : organisation, allocation of acuity ratings and triage decision making

    Författare :Katarina Göransson; Anna Ehrenberg; Margareta Ehnfors; Gun Nordström; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Accuracy; Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale; concordance; decision making; emergency department; patient scenarios; registered nurses; survey; think aloud; triage; Caring sciences; Vårdvetenskap; Vårdvetenskap; Nursing Science;

    Sammanfattning : Successful triage is the basis for sound emergency department (ED) care, whereas unsuccessful triage could result in adverse outcomes. ED triage is a rather unexplored area in the Swedish health care system. This thesis contributes to our understanding of this complex nursing task. LÄS MER
