  1. 1. Regulation of chloroplast development during the greening process

    Författare :Yan Ji; Åsa Strand; Eevi Rintamäki; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Arabidopsis thaliana; light response; anterograde signalling; plastid transcription; chloroplast development; photosynthesis; bZIP; PEP complex; de-etiolation; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : Upon light exposure, the expression of one-third of the nuclear-encoded genes is changing, including genes encoding many chloroplast-targeted proteins responsible for the initiation of plastid transcription and the establishment of photosynthesis. The control of the nuclear-encoded genes involved in the development of chloroplast is referred to as anterograde signalling. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Thermodynamic properties of humid air and their application in advanced power generation cycles

    Författare :Xiaoyan Ji; Jinyue Yan; Umberto Desideri; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; air-water mixture; humid air; properties; wet cycles; dry air; water; enthalpy; entropy; heat capacity; density; evaporative gas turbine; compressed air energy storage; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Water or steam is added into the working fluid (often air) in gas turbines to improve the performance of gas turbine cycles. A typical application is the humidified gas turbine that has the potential to give high efficiencies, high specific power output, low emissions and low specific investment. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Impacts of Thermo-Physical Properties on Chemical Absorption for CO2 Capture

    Författare :Worrada Nookuea; Jinyue Yan; Hailong Li; Eva Thorin; Bin Liang; Xiaoyan Ji; Jesus Zambrano; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Following the climate change mitigation target in Paris agreement, the global warming has to be limited to 2.0°C above the preindustrial levels. One of the potential methods is carbon capture and storage (CCS), which can significantly reduce the CO2 emissions from the vast point sources such as power plants, industries, and natural gas processes. 4. 4. Impacts of Thermo–Physical Properties on the Design, Operation, and Cost of Monoethanolamine–Based Chemical Absorption

    Författare :Worrada Nookuea; Jinyue Yan; Eva Thorin; Hailong Li; Xiaoyan Ji; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The thermodynamic and transport properties of CO2 mixtures are essential to the design, operation, and optimization of all carbon capture and storage processes. To retrieve accurate property values, accurate property models are required. However, there are many properties, which are in turn affected by many factors. LÄS MER
