  1. 1. The roles of microRNAs in skin wound healing

    Författare :Xi Li; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Skin is an essential biological barrier of the human body, and wound healing is the fundamental physiological process to keep its integrity. Chronic non-healing wounds are growing socioeconomic and health concerns, which longs for more understanding of their pathophysiology to discover effective treatments. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Silicon Nanowire Field-Effect Devices as Low-Noise Sensors

    Författare :Xi Chen; Zhen Zhang; Shi-Li Zhang; Si Chen; Fengnian Xia; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Silicon nanowire; field-effect transistor; Schottky junction gate; low frequency noise; ion sensor; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektronik; Engineering Science with specialization in Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : In the past decades, silicon nanowire field-effect transistors (SiNWFETs) have been explored for label-free, highly sensitive, and real-time detections of chemical and biological species. The SiNWFETs are anticipated for sensing analyte at ultralow concentrations, even at single-molecule level, owing to their significantly improved charge sensitivity over large-area FETs. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Integrating domain knowledge into deep learning : Increasing model performance through human expertise

    Författare :Niclas Ståhl; Göran Falkman; Alexander Karlsson; Gunnar Mathiason; Jonas Boström; Keith Downing; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; INF301 Data Science; INF301 Data Science; Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab SAIL ; Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab SAIL ;

    Sammanfattning : The research in this thesis is focused on how deep learning models can be designed and implemented to better emulate and integrate the heuristic reasoning process of human experts. Several case studies, within the domains of steel making and drug discovery, are conducted in order to evaluate the performance of these models, in comparison to models that do not consider human expert knowledge from the targeted domain.
