    Sammanfattning : The aim of the work presented in this thesis was to investigate whether the adhesion of glues and lacquers to wood could be studied using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA).     Sammanfattning : Heating wood has since ancient times been a method to dry and modify its properties. Nowadays heat is used in industrial processes for the same reasons. Treatment at temperatures above 150ºC can change the colour, improve resistance to biodegradation and enhance dimensional stability. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Breath gas analysis is a promising approach for non-invasive medical diagnostics and physiological monitoring. Real-time, breath-cycle resolved biomarker detection facilitates data interpretation and has the potential to improve the diagnostic value of breath tests as exhalation profiles carry spatiotemporal information about biomarker origin and gas exchange in the respiratory tract.     Sammanfattning : Heat treatment is a method for improving the durability and dimensional stability of wood. The treatment method used in this work is called Thermo Wood and is industrially applied in Finland. In 2004 production was 31146 m3.
