    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to contribute to the development of improved window layer structures for chalcopyrite thin-film solar cells, with an emphasis on the buffer layer, to assist future reductions of the levelized cost of energy. This is realized by exploring the potential of existing materials and deposition processes, as well as developing new buffer layer processes based on atomic layer deposition (ALD). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Window-based congestion control : Modeling, analysis and design

    Författare :Niels Möller; Karl Henrik Johansson; Rayadurgam Srikant; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Internet; Congestion control; Window-based; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a model for the ACK-clock inner loop, common to virtually all Internet congestion control protocols, and analyzes the stability properties of this inner loop, as well as the stability and fairness properties of several window update mechanisms built on top of the ACK-clock. Aided by the model for the inner-loop, two new congestion control mechanisms are constructed, for wired and wireless networks. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Cadmium Free Buffer Layers and the Influence of their Material Properties on the Performance of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Solar Cells

    Författare :Adam Hultqvist; Charlotte Platzer-Björkman; Tobias Törndahl; Marika Edoff; Takashi Minemoto; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cu In; Ga Se2; Solar cells; Thin film; Buffer layer; Window layer; ZnO; Zn O; S ; Zn; Mg O; Zn-Sn-O; Semiconductor physics; Halvledarfysik; Engineering Science with specialization in Solid State Physics; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot fasta tillståndets fysik;

    Sammanfattning : CdS is conventionally used as a buffer layer in Cu(In,Ga)Se2, CIGS, solar cells. The aim of this thesis is to substitute CdS with cadmium-free, more transparent and environmentally benign alternative buffer layers and to analyze how the material properties of alternative layers affect the solar cell performance. 4. 4. Synaptic plasticity in local networks of neocortical layer 2/3

    Författare :Misha Zilberter; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Neocortical microcircuit; layer 2 3; pyramidal cell; spike timing- dependent plasticity; LTP; LTD; FSN interneuron; retrograde signalling; SAT2;

    Sammanfattning : The neocortex is a hierarchal organ in which information processing takes on place on many levels, from subcellular signalling all the way to neural networks. Neocortical local neuronal networks (microcircuits), composed of interconnected neurons, form elementary information processing units within the cortex. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Atomic layer deposition of zinc tin oxide buffer layers for Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cells

    Författare :Johan Lindahl; Tobias Törndahl; Marika Edoff; Negar Naghavi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CIGS; Solar cells; Thin film; Buffer layer; TCO; Window layer; Zinc tin oxide; ZTO; Indium oxide; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektronik; Engineering Science with specialization in Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to provide an in-depth investigation of zinc tin oxide, Zn1-xSnxOy or ZTO, grown by atomic layer deposition (ALD) as a buffer layer in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar cells. The thesis analyzes how changes in the ALD process influence the material properties of ZTO, and how these in turn affect the performance of CIGS solar cells. LÄS MER
