  1. 1. Designing, evaluating and exploring Web-based tools for collaborative annotation of documents

    Författare :Henrry Rodriguez; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :WWW; discussion; annotation; design; writing; collaborative work; asynchronous communication; text-based communication;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the use of the World Wide Web asinfrastructure for collaboration among small or middle sizedgroups. A collection of Web-based tools has been developed,whose main characteristic is that they allow users to makeannotations to shared documents. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Software tools for matrix canonical computations and web-based software library environments

    Författare :Pedher Johansson; Bo Kågström; Erik. Elmroth; Alan Edelman; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Canonical structure; Jordan canonical form; controllability; StratiGraph; Matlab toolbox; Kronecker canonical form; matrix; matrix pencil; perturbation theory; closure hirerarchy; matrix stratification; control system; observability; Numerical analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation addresses the development and use of novel software tools and environments for the computation and visualization of canonical information as well as stratification hierarchies for matrices and matrix pencils. The simplest standard shape to which a matrix pencil with a given set of eigenvalues can be reduced is called the Kronecker canonical form (KCF). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Human-computer interaction principles for developing web-based genomics resources

    Författare :Chanaka Mannapperuma; Nathaniel Street; John Waterworth; Marek Mutwil; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Genomics projects, including genome sequencing, transcriptomics, genome-wide association mapping and epigenetics assays, producevast quantities of data. Extracting the required information from such complex datasets is a significant challenge and even where software tools do exist, these are often not intuitive or designed fornon-specialist users. 4. 4. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the innovator after all? : An explorative study of a management-initiated employee innovation process

    Författare :Izabelle Bäckström; Innovationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Critical discourse analysis; Digitalization; Employee-driven innovation; Innovation management; Power relations; Roles; Web-based tools; Critical discourse analysis; Digitalization; Innovation management; Employee-driven innovation; Power relations; Roles; Web-based tools;

    Sammanfattning : Today, the innovation arena is open to a wider range of participants than previously acknowledged. One specifically neglected group of innovators in traditional innovation studies is non-R&D and non-managerial employees, also referred to as ‘ordinary’ employees by the existing body of literature on employee-driven innovation (EDI).
