11. Fabrication of Group IV Semiconductors on Insulator for Monolithic 3D Integration
Sammanfattning : The conventional 2D geometrical scaling of transistors is now facing many challenges in order to continue the performance enhancement while decreasing power consumption. The decrease in the device power consumption is related to the scaling of the power supply voltage (Vdd) and interconnects wiring length. LÄS MER
12. Resin transfer moulded composite materials : processing, structure, property relationships
Sammanfattning : This thesis contains analysis of the performance of polymer composites manufactured by resin transfer moulding (RTM). The thesis consists of six papers, where the first two deals with the tensile strength of composites reinforced with randomly oriented glass fibres, which still is the most common reinforcement in RTM manufacturing. 13. Initial stages of metal- and organic-semiconductor interface formation
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis deals with the electronic and geometrical properties of metal-semiconductor and organic-semiconductor interfaces investigated by photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy. First in line is the Co-InAs interface (metal-semiconductor) where it is found that Co is reactive and upon adsorption and thermal treatment it alloys with the indium of the substrate to form metallic islands, about 20 nm in diameter. 14. Modeling in Biomass Harvesting, Biomass Pyrolysis and Producer Gas Cleaning
Sammanfattning : Biomass is a viable alternative in order to mitigate the environmental effectscaused by the aggressive use of fossil feedstock during the last century. This thesis builds around the idea of a biofuel production process that iscomprised of biomass production, biomass gasication, gas cleaning andfuel production. 15. Bone Regeneration with Cell-free Injectable Scaffolds
Sammanfattning : Bone is a remarkable multifunctional tissue with the ability to regenerate and remodel without generating any scar tissue. However, bone loss due to injury or diseases can be a great challenge and affect the patient significantly. Autologous bone grafting is commonly used throughout the world. LÄS MER
