  1. 1. Escape to space or return to venus : ion flows measured by venus express

    Författare :Moa Persson; Yoshifumi Futaana; Hans Nilsson; Maria Hamrin; Dmitrij Titov; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Venus; water; escape; planetary physics; oxygen; O ; hydrogen; H ; ions; space physics; space plasma physics; Venus Express; ASPERA-4; IMA; spacecraft measurements; rymd- och plasmafysik; Space and Plasma Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The present-day Venusian atmosphere is crushingly dense, extremely hot and arid. Yet, in its early history, Venus presumably had a massive amount of water, which, if spread evenly over the surface, provided a water depth of 10s to 100s of meters. Therefore, over the course of the atmospheric evolution, the water must have been removed from Venus. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Exploring localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals : Focusing on municipal organisations in a Swedish context

    Författare :Venus Krantz; Sara Gustafsson; Wisdom Kanda; Sara Brorström; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Sustainability; SDG; regional; local; governance; management;

    Sammanfattning : Adopted in 2015, the 2030 Agenda and the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) call for integrated approaches and aim to “leave no one behind”. This licentiate thesis focuses on localisation of the SDGs in Swedish municipal organisations, and more specifically at early stages of SDG localisation processes. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The induced magnetospheres and magnetotails of Mars and Venus

    Författare :Aikaterini Stergiopoulou; David Andrews; Niklas Edberg; Lasse Clausen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Mars; Venus; Ionosphere; Induced Magnetosphere; Induced Magnetotail;

    Sammanfattning : In this work we focus on several aspects of the ionospheres, induced magnetospheres, and magnetotails of the unmagnetized planets Mars and Venus. The solar wind interaction with unmagnetized planets differs from the magnetized planets: they are more directly exposed to the solar wind, and consequently can respond faster and more dynamically to solar wind variations, necessitating careful analysis of the driving conditions upstream simultaneously with plasma measurements in the system. 4. 4. The Neutral Particle Detector on the Mars and Venus Express missions

    Författare :Alexander Grigoriev; Stas Barabash; Brian J. Anderson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Space and plasma physics; ENA imaging; exosphere; magnetosphere; Mars; Venus; solar wind interaction; Rymd- och plasmafysik; rymd- och plasmafysik; Space and Plasma Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The Neutral Particle Detector (NPD) is a new type of instrumentation for energetic neutral atom (ENA) diagnostics. This thesis deals with development of the NPD sensor designed as a part of the plasma and neutral particle packages ASPERA-3 and ASPERA-4 on board Mars Express and Venus Express, the European Space Agency (ESA) satellites to Mars and Venus, respectively. 5. 5. Perfumes between Venus and Mars : How gender categorization of perfumes is (not) related to odor perception and odor preference

    Författare :Anna Lindqvist; Mats Nilsson; Moustafa Bensafi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; odor perception; perfumes; femininity; masculinity; gender-sensitive research; gender differences; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : How we smell is important to a lot of people, as indicated by the high spending on perfumes. Most perfumes are categorized as feminine or masculine, and this gender categorization is an important factor when people purchase perfumes. LÄS MER
