  1. 1. Notch Signaling in Human Neuroblastoma Cells

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Laboratory Medicine, Lund University

    Författare :Marie Stockhausen; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; oncology; Hes-1; Medicin människa och djur ; Medicine human and vertebrates ; hypoxia; TGF-alpha; EGFR; ERK1 2; Ras MAPK; differentiation; valproic acid; ubiquilin-1; neuroblastoma; Hash-1; Cytologi; onkologi; cancer; cancerology; Cytology; Notch;

    Sammanfattning : Neuroblastoma is a childhood tumor derived from the sympathetic nervous system (SNS). It is believed that the tumors arise from cells halted in their differentiation and due to their immature phenotype; they express proteins normally only detected during embryogenesis. One such protein is Hash-1, which is required for formation of the SNS. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Transcriptomics and Proteomics Applied to Developmental Toxicology

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Kim Kultima; Uppsala universitet.; [2007]
    Nyckelord :Toxicology; 2D-DIGE; Valproic acid; PBDE-99; Flame retardant; Neural tube defects; Microarray; In vivo; In vitro; Biomarker; Brain growth spurt; Normalization; Mouse embryo; Toxicogenomics; Toxikologi;

    Sammanfattning : Developmental toxicology is an important part of preclinical drug toxicology as well as environmental toxicology. Assessing reproductive and developmental toxicity is especially expensive and time demanding, since at least two generations of animals are needed in the tests. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Notch Signaling in Neuroblastoma and Renal Cell Carcinoma

    Detta är en avhandling från Molecular Tumour Biology

    Författare :Jonas Sjölund; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; differentiation; clear cell renal cell carcinoma; neuroblastoma; TGF-beta; migration; γ-secretase; valproic acid; cancer; Notch; ERK; von Hippel-Lindau; hypoxia;

    Sammanfattning : The Notch signaling pathway governs cell functions essential for normal development and organogenesis. Aberrant Notch signaling has been implicated in tumorigenesis by perturbing control of proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, migration and angiogenesis. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Pluripotent Stem Cells of Embryonic Origin Applications in Developmental Toxicology

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Måns Jergil; Uppsala universitet.; [2009]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Embryonic stem cell; Microarray; Toxicogenomics; Valproic acid; Developmental toxicology; Teratogenicity; Neural tube defects; Histone deacetylase inhibitor; In vitro toxicology; PHARMACY Toxicology; FARMACI Toxikologi; Toxicology; Toxikologi;

    Sammanfattning : General toxicity evaluation and risk assessment for human exposure is essential when developing new pharmaceuticals and chemicals. Developmental toxicology is an important part of this risk assessment which consumes large resources and many laboratory animals. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Pharmacological stimulation of endothelial function and long-term impact of hypertension in man

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Ott Saluveer; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2016]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; t-PA; hypertension; fibrinolysis; endothelial function; valproic acid; histone deacetylase inhibitor; atorvastatin;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Ischemic heart disease is a major cause of death globally. Rupture of a coronary atherosclerotic plaque with occluding thrombus formation is the main cause of myocardial ischemia and infarction. LÄS MER
