  1. 1. VLF and ULF Waves Associated with Magnetospheric Substorms

    Författare :Andrew Collier; Lars Blomberg; James McKenzie; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Space physics; Subtorms; Magnetosphere; VLF waves; ULF waves; Space physics; Rymdfysik;

    Sammanfattning : A magnetospheric substorm is manifested in a variety of phenomena observed both in space and on the ground. Two electromagnetic signatures are the Substorm Chorus Event (SCE) and Pi2 pulsations. The SCE is a Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio phenomenon observed on the ground after the onset of the substorm expansion phase. LÄS MER

  2. 2. VLF Chorus Activity Associated with Substorm Particle Injections

    Författare :Andrew Collier; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :space physics; magnetosphere; VLF waves; substorms;

    Sammanfattning : The Substorm Chorus Event (SCE) is a Very Low Frequency(VLF) radio phenomenon observed on the ground after the onsetof the substorm expansion phase. It consists of a band of VLFchorus emissions with rising upper and lower cutofffrequencies. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Scattering of electromagnetic waves by a perfectly conducting half plane below a stratified overburden and applications to geophysical prospecting by VLF

    Författare :Olle Olsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The present paper is an introduction to and a summary of a thesis consisting of the following papers:1. Scattering of electromagnetic waves by a perfectly conducting half plane below a stratified overburden. Radio Sci. (1978), Vol. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Two topics in electromagnetic radiation field prospecting

    Författare :Bruno Nilsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : Different kinds of electrical methods have been used for a considerable time in the field of Applied Geophysics. In common these methods have almost exclusively been based on stationary or slow-varying electromagnetic fields. LÄS MER
