  1. 1. Robust and Durable Vacuum Insulation Technology for Buildings

    Författare :Peyman Karami; Folke Björk; Kjartan Gudmundsson; Jan Akander; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Vacuum Insulation panels VIPs ; Million Program; Energy saving; Thermal conductivity; thermal transmittance U-value ; Thermal bridges; Stationary and transient measurements; Dynamic simulations of heat and moisture conditions; Full scale measurement in climatic chamber; LCA; Vakuumisoleringspaneler VIP:ar ; Miljonprogrammet; Energibesparing; Värmeledningsförmåga; värmegenomgångskoefficient U-värdet ; Köldbryggor; Stationära och transienta mätningar; Dynamiska simuleringar av värme och fuktförhållanden; Fullskaleförsök i klimatkammare; LCA; Byggvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Today’s buildings are responsible for 40% of the world’s energy use and also a substantial share of the Global Warming Potential (GWP). In Sweden, about 21% of the energy use can be related to the heat losses through the climatic envelope. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Building Retrofit using Vacuum Insulation Panels: Hygrothermal Performance and Durability

    Författare :Pär Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; laboratory; retrofitting; interior insulation; listed building; field study; exterior wall; brick wall; numerical simulation; wooden beam ends; measurement; vacuum insulation panel; transient plane heat source; exterior insulation;

    Sammanfattning : Many old buildings have unsatisfactory thermal performance compared to the standards of today. One way to increase the thermal performance is to add thermal insulation to the building envelope. However, many old buildings are listed and considered to be valuable for historical and esthetic reasons. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Servicescapes seen by visually impaired travellers : Time-geography approach to servicescape research

    Författare :Alma Raissova; Institutionen för tjänstevetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; servicescape; time-geography; constraints; tactics; blind; visually impaired persons; servicescape; tidsgeografi; begränsningar; taktik; blinda; synskadade;

    Sammanfattning : Knowledge gaps remain in the study of servicescapes, since existing research on servicescapes tends to ignore major advances in the understanding of space and time as social phenomena. One aspect that particularly requires further study is how emerging constraints influence customers’ interactions with organized service places. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Nursing documentation in clinical practice : instrument development and evaluation of a comprehensive intervention programme

    Författare :Catrin Björvell; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Nursing documentation; record audit instrument; attitude; barriers to documentation; facilitators of documentation; focus groups; quality assurance;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was to describe and analyse effects of a two-year comprehensive intervention concerning nursing documentation in patient records when using the VIPS model - a model designed to structure nursing documentation. Registered Nurses (RNs) from three acute care hospital wards participated in a two-year intervention programme, in addition, a fourth ward was used for comparison. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Promotion of sustainable renovation in the built environment : An early stage techno-economic approach

    Författare :Navid Gohardani; Folke Björk; Bo-Göran Hellers; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Refurbishment; retrofitting; renovation; energy consumption; Vacuum Insulation Panels; ACES;

    Sammanfattning : According to the Swedish Government's set targets for energy use and environmental quality imposed by the European Union, the total energy per heated unit area in residential and commercial buildings will have to be decreased by 20% in 2020 and 50% by 2050 in relation to the annual consumption of 1995. The building sector should additionally be completely independent of fossil fuels for energy usage, with the increasing sector of renewable energy continuously growing until 2020. LÄS MER
