  1. 1. Measurements of Neutron-induced Nuclear Reactions for More Precise Standard Cross Sections and Correlated Fission Properties

    Författare :Kaj Jansson; Cecilia Gustavsson; Stephan Pomp; Alexander Prokofiev; Ali Al-Adili; Fanny Farget; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cross Section; Fission; Neutron-induced reactions; Simulation; VERDI; Fysik med inriktning mot tillämpad kärnfysik; Physics with specialization in Applied Nuclear Physics;

    Sammanfattning : It is difficult to underestimate the importance of neutron cross section standards in the nuclear data field. Accurate and precise standards are prerequisites for measuring neutron cross sections. Two different projects are presented here with the aim of improving on neutron standards. LÄS MER

  2. 2. In search of meaning in opera : an opera singer's approach to the dialectics of words, music & myth in opera from Monteverdi to Verdi

    Författare :Gunnel Bergström; Richard Bark; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; myth; tension between words and music; hermeneutics; vocal action; teatervetenskap; Theatre Studies;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to show that the opera singer's art is to transmit word and music into vocal action. It is assumed that opera, like all the arts, communicates myth. Of the stage arts opera is unique in that it expresses mythic metaphors through a combination of words and music. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Simulations And Experiments Of Plasma-Induced Effects In Silicon Detectors

    Författare :Ana Maria Gomez L; Ali Al-Adili; Diego Tarrío; Stephan Pomp; Andreas Solders; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; VERDI - VElocity foR Direct particle Identification; PIPS - Passive Implanted Planar Silicon; PDT - Plasma Delay Time; PHD - Pulse Height Defect; FF - Fission Fragment; ToF - Time-of-flight; MCP - Micro Channel Plat; Kärnfysik; Nuclear Physics;

    Sammanfattning : When an atomic nucleus undergoes fission, two fragments with different mass and kinetic energy are emitted. The highly unstable fission fragments (FFs) evaporate prompt neutrons soon after the nucleus splits. LÄS MER
