   Sammanfattning : Background: There are increasing number of health impact assessment studies investigating the health effects by transferring trips made by motorised transport to active commuting; however, air pollution exposure during active commuting and its impact on health has been less thoroughly assessed.    Sammanfattning : Objective The prevalence of obesity and related diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is increasing worldwide, and the Asian Indian population seems to be particularly susceptible to developing T2DM, even at a low body mass index (BMI). The answers have a strong association with significant medical outcomes such as death, diabetes, coronary heart disease, functional ability and depression, medical diagnoses and how these are perceived.
