  2. 12. Molecular dissection of the Goodpasture epitope

    Författare :Thomas Hellmark; Njurmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Urologi; autoimmune; anti-GBM nephritis; glomerulonephritis; nephrology; Urology; nefrologi;

    Sammanfattning : Goodpasture disease is a prototype autoimmune disease that is characterized by a rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, with or without lung haemorrhage, associated with autoantibodies against the glomerular basement membrane. 4. 14. CYSTATIN C AND NEUROENDOCRINE DIFFERENTIATION IN THE MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM AND IN PROSTATE CANCER

    Författare :Thomas Jiborn; Malmö Urologisk cancerforskning; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Urology; androgen deprivation therapy; cysteine protease inhibitor; neuroendocrine differentiation; cysteine protease; male reproductive tract; prostate cancer; nefrologi; Urologi; nephrology;

    Sammanfattning : Cystatins are endogenous protease inhibitors that regulate the proteolytic activities of family C1 (papain-like) cysteine proteases, such as human cathepsins B, H, K, L, and S. Cystatin C shows the fastest inhibition and the highest affinity of all cystatins towards lysosomal cysteine proteases in general and is widespread in human tissues and body fluids. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Long-term outcome of vesicoureteral reflux and reflux nephropathy in adults - clinical and radiological aspects

    Författare :Jan Köhler; Njurmedicin; []

    Sammanfattning : The aim was to study the long-term consequencies of vesicoureteral reflux and reflux nephropathy (RN) in adults, with regard to radiological progression, urinary tract infections, renal functional impairment, hypertension, and to determine if the extent of renal damage can predict the outcome. Attempts to differentiate between acquired and developmental renal damage were also made. LÄS MER
