1. Vegetation changes on Swedish mires : Effects of raised temperature and increased nitrogen and sulphur influx
Sammanfattning : Since the start of the industrialisation, the deposition of nitrogen and sulphur and the atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases have increased. The main objectives of this study were to find how these changes in climate and deposition can change the vegetation of mire ecosystems and the growth of Sphagnumspecies. LÄS MER
2. Biodiversity and green infrastructure in urban landscapes

This is done by studying the impact of urban regulations on microclimate in different urban design patterns in Damascus. LÄS MER
4. Microclimate and Thermal Comfort of Urban Spaces in Hot Dry Damascus- Influence of urban design and planning regulations
Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to develop better understanding of the relationship between microclimate and urban design in the hot dry city of Damascus. This is done by studying the impact of urban regulations on microclimate in different urban design patterns in modern Damascus. LÄS MER
5. Infective Endocarditis : aspects of pathophysiology, epidemiology, management and prognosis
Sammanfattning : Infective endocarditis (IE) is a rare but complex disease that is fatal if untreated. With a modern combination of antimicrobial therapy and heart valve surgery, mortality is still 10-20 %. The structure of the endocarditis vegetation impedes the penetration of phagocytic cells such as monocytes and granulocytes. LÄS MER
