    Sammanfattning : Efficient spatial planning in areas near nodes in the public transportation system is an important measure to influence transport mode choice and favour public transportation over private cars for personal transportation. Efficient spatial planning involves concentration of activities within walking distance to the station as well as measures to integrate the station and its surroundings in the urban fabric and to improve station accessibility as a local destination point.
