21. Study of heat release rates of mining vehicles in underground hard rock mines
Sammanfattning : A unique study on fire safety in hard rock underground mines with focus on heat release rates of mining vehicles is presented. A literature inventory was conducted with respect to fires in underground hard rock mines, which revealed that the most common fire cause in underground mines was flammable liquid sprayed onto hot surface and the most common fire object was a vehicle. 22. Localization for Autonomous Vehicles in Underground Mines
Sammanfattning : The trend of automation in industry, and in the society in general, is something that probably all of us have noticed. The mining industry is no exception to this trend, and there exists a vision of having completely automated mines with all processes monitored and controlled through a higher level optimization goal. 23. Robust LIDAR-Based Localization in Underground Mines
Sammanfattning : The mining industry is currently facing a transition from manually operated vehicles to remote or semi-automated vehicles. The vision is fully autonomous vehicles being part of a larger fleet, with humans only setting high-level goals for the autonomous fleet to execute in an optimal way. LÄS MER
24. Behaviour of blast-induced damaged zone around underground excavations in hard rock mass
Sammanfattning : The presence of blast-induced damaged zone around an excavation boundary has been an important concern in rock construction. It is generally believed that the presence of this zone can pose problems related to stability and flow and consequently impair the performance and functionality of the excavation. LÄS MER
25. Occupational injuries and technological development : studies in the Swedish mining industry
Sammanfattning : The relationship between technological development and occupational injuries is an issue that has received considerable attention in recent accident research. The evidence accumulated so far from studies comparing different technological alternatives as they evolve over time suggests that technological changes have not had a universal preventive effect with regard to injury-event occurrence.
