    Sammanfattning : The biochemical processes of DNA repair, replication and recombination compete for the same substrate, the DNA molecule. This competition is natural, as each process requires the same template.     Sammanfattning : Burn patients are susceptible to infections due to impaired natural defences when the epidermal barrier is damaged. Moreover, the trauma affects the patient's immune system through local and systemic inflammatory reactions. In this process, solar radiation is used to convert CO2 into biomass.
